Description: Smith & Wesson K/L/N/X-Frame Mainspring. Constructed from quality steel, this OEM factory original mainspring is manufactured for the Smith & Wesson revolver line including the K, L, X, and N frame models chambered in various calibers such as .41 Rem Mag, .44 Special, .45 Colt, .357 Mag and more. The revolver mainspring is located in the grip of firearm and functions by contributing to the double action pull. Dont let occasional missfires affect your training and range time, this component is perfect as an immediate replacement piece.

So I have a S&W 325, that had been plagued with soft strikes since day one. Even been back to Smith for a tune up. I had fond memories of my 29-2 before it suffered timing failure, and decided to try a standard N frame main spring. Soft strikes are no more. While I'm sure a side by side comparison would prove my finger dyno wrong, the standard main spring feels just as smooth in double action and a pound more stiff in single. Reliability is what I would expect from any S&W revolvers. Saved me from the pit of buyer's remorse with this one.

After decades of use my S&W model 10-10 revolver was beginning to have light strikes and it turned out that the mainspring had become bent out of shape.
MGW had the part I needed in stock and got it to me quickly. After installing the new spring the problem was cured.

I acquired a used K frame that intermitantly misfired because of light primer strikes. Changing this mainspring returned it to the dependable handgun it was designed to be.
