Bought this to use in a Sig Emperor Scorpion because I don't like Sig's 'memory bump' safety. It fit the frame well but doesn't clear the series 80 trigger components so you have to remove those, or remove material from the grip safety. I just removed the series 80 parts.

Works well and used these to replace others when people have trouble with the grip safety not depressed enough to fire. Kimber sticks out a bit more than other brands(even those with the pad bump) and doesn't bother anyone that I have installed these on.

I hated the “memory bump” grip safety that came on my sig 1911. It actually hurt my hand. I was able to use this much more comfortable Kimber grip safety by slightly modifying the engagement surface to clear the series 80 style firing pin safety mechanism (just a few minutes with a file). The radius cut around the thumb safety shaft matched exactly. The color also matches nicely. Works great.
