Better than original

After installing and checking with Magpul pmags, better lockup and much more secure than original Mossberg assembly, have one on my Mossberg MVP Varmint 24 inch barrel .308 and Mossberg MVP LR 20 inch barrel .308. Love it!

Had to replace on my MVP Scout, so if you’re having trouble with magazines dropping out under recoil you’re not alone. I tried some DIY with a Dremel tool to hopefully correct the problem, needless to say it didn’t work since I had to buy another mag well, if you ever wondered what they mean by “economy Rifle “well here you go. “By once, cry once”

Original Mag guide in MOSS 7.62 scout worked fine with ar type mags hex, magpul, however M14/M1/a mags would fall out when the rifle was fired.
the replacement guide works with both, a small piece o plastic fell out with one of the M14 mags ,looks like it came from the upper rear of the mag guide mag fits a little looser now but does not fall out, so looking at the original in the same area there was no remaining plastic in the area (upper rear center) I then drilled a hole 1/16" put a pin across to replace the missing plastic the magazine felt much more secure but fell out when fired, Mossberg claims they have made no changes in the guide??????????

This is a factory MVP magwell. I am putting together a 6.5 CM Patriot on a Boyd's stock, for long range hog, predator, deer, etc., hunting. I'm doing th is on a budget. The ability to use my AR10 .308 magazines will be very useful for hogs and predators, especially. I have not gotten this rifle assembled as of now, because of the pillar bedding, ect. Aftermarket magwells are only currently available for the. 223 MVP, but this factory magwell, should work well, after action pillar, and glass bedding.
