Description: Apex Tactical FN FNX-45 MRAT Compensator. The MRAT Compensator for the FN FNX-45 is a Direct Thread-on compensator that reduces muzzle rise by up to 60%. A captive-spring guide rod assembly is included, which is necessary for proper function due to the reduced slide velocity produced by the MRAT. The spring retaining nut is removable to allow for spring replacement and additional tuning. Available in both black and flat dark earth finishes.

I'm very familiar with compensators but this one surprised me. It includes a lighter recoil spring because it reduces recoil so much that the stock one won't cycle, if that is any indication of it's effectiveness. Recoil is now less than a lot of 9mm pistols, and it's easy to stay on target with a red dot. Plus, it really looks great and fits great. Just take a minute during installation to check and make sure it sits flush with the slide all the way in battery. My only gripe is that the FDE seemed to be out of stock everywhere. No regrets though, if you want a really effective comp on a 45 this is the one.
