I have an older P226. I wanted to convert it to the E2-style grip. I had the (original) older version hammer strut/mainspring assembly. This spring was absent in a conversion kit I had. It is absolutely necessary to do the conversion, and this was a great service to have a Sig factory part readily available. The result: a properly balanced hammer operation and trigger pull.
