Steyr AUG A3 M1 1.5x Optic

This scope is legitimately for a specific type of person. If you bought a modern AUG and you want the gun to have that 1977 classic look and function for it. This is the Steyr proprietary scope that replaces the picatinny rail they all come with now. I feel like most people would want to put all the modern optics on their AUG to get the most out of their gun, and its kind of a heafty price tag for a fixed 1.5x scope. So I feel like this would not really speak to a lot of people. I feel like those people are missing out though. This is an extremely robust scope, very clear glass and it has the classic "doughnut of death" reticle which, if I'm being honest, is a little tricky to sight in at longer ranges, however, once you get it sighted in, you start to see why the Austrians went with that system in the beginning. Its insanely quick to get on target and, unlike red dots, or classic reticles, the reticle does not block the target at all so you can easily track your targets movements for follow up shots and quickly re-engage. Even though the scope is only a 1.5x between it and the reticle they work together so you end up seeing targets at much longer ranges than you'd expect and can easily hit them. If you want precision the 3x might be the better choice but this 1.5 works way better than I even assumed it would. I was mostly buying it so my AUG would look like the classic AUG we all know and I wanted it in its classic configuration and classic magnification. I assumed I was purposefully hobbling the gun because there are so much "better" options available nowadays, I just wanted it to "look right" but once I got it on there, I would take this head to head with the most decked out shooters in a competition you can find and I feel like I could give my competitor a run for their money.
