Easy install Works fine. There is a problem with safety being blocked by grip that needs to be dremeled. Can shoot folded also

Pistol grip replacement of a standard factory stock. Have 2 kits, 4 stars due to the grip having a bit of play. Overall a good upgrade & can recommend.

As always, MGW was fast with shipping. The stock itself is very nice. Solid and no flex. Still on the fence regarding the forend. Seems a little 'slick', but then again I've been using a Hogue over-molded forend. I'd buy another if needed.

Fit/finish are great. I used it on an 870 super mag that was re-purposed into an HD gun. As others have said, you'll need to trim out around the safety if you have an oversized button. That task is easily done with a Dremel, or a pocket knife. The folding portion/hinge is a solid lockup, and when folded, it does not interfere with operation of the weapon. QD attachment is perfectly placed for a single point sling, either when folded or extended. My only complaint is LOP is a bit long even with no spacers, if you have any extra gear on, such as body armor/plate carrier. It's not too long to be usable, but just a tiny bit too long to be perfect. The gain in portability, and ease of carry/transport when folded easily offsets the cost of this quality stock set.

Very solid product - much better than the old school Remington over folder. Easy to install and use. Does make things much bulkier than the original folder if that's important to you. MGW comes through again - both product and company recommended.

Well constructed, however when adding pull spacers found the pilot holes needed to be deeper. After adding depth the screws went all the way in and pulled up the spacers to make a tight connection.

Rear Stock installed in just a few minutes. Functions just as it should. Very Solid. The pad is sufficient for recoil. Would highly recommend for those looking at it for storage, transport ease, etc...

When you buy an accessory produced by the same manufacturer as your firearm, you go into the transaction with little expectation of disappointment. I am pleased to say that my expectations were clearly met when I purchased this upgrade for my 870 Wingmaster. There are enough pieces in the kit to customize the length of pull to most users. There are provisions in the buttstock for mounting QD sling receptacles, both near the buttpad and forward of the folding mechanism. My choice was to mount at the forward point, utilizing a single point sling, which works very well, including while the stock is folded. The forend comes equipped with a hand strap, as well as provisions for using M-Lok fixtures to mount various accessories on either side of the forend. The grip affords a storage compartment sized to accommodate (2) 12 ga shells or anything else of the equivalent size, with a spring -retained trap door. One area of concern was the fitment of the grip because I had also installed a Wilson Combat Large Dome Top safety. Yes, this did require about 10-15 minutes of careful and attentive filing with a small round file to get it to look like it was created that way. Any hack job could likely be done in 2 minutes flat, but that's just not my style. With an 18.5 inch barrel, the folding stock will allow this to easily fit into a 30 inch bag. With stock extended, with a 13.5" L.O.P, the gun is just under 38" overall. I am very happy with my selection and while this was my first purchase from MGW, it certainly will not be my last. Initially, this kit was on backorder, and within just 2 weeks I received an e-mail advising that the kit was back in stock. My order was shipped promptly and in my hands in short order. I’m very satisfied with this stock. I only wish the mechanism releasing the stock was a bit smoother. But otherwise, a solid stock.

Purchased this 870 side folding stock kit for my 1950s era Remington 870 Wingmaster 12 gauge. Easy to install and looks great. Fits very secure. Only problem was the pistol grip blocked the safety, just a bit. Had to file part of the pistol grip - removed a little less than one-sixteenth of an inch, and it now fits and works great. Very satisfied.

Stock is nice and sturdy still having trouble removing forend nut soaking and trying but no fault of this kit it’s very nice
