Description: Mossberg 500 / 535 Recoil Pad, fits Wood Stocks. This recoil pad is made of a light brown rubber over a steel skeleton and is an OEM factory original Mossberg component. This recoil pad is made for the 535 Mossberg shotgun models. The recoil pad is affixed to wood stocks and helps with reducing the felt recoil by the shooter. This pad may need to be fitted for the stock. This item is perfect for replacing a worn component or to keep in the parts chest as a backup for your Mossberg shotgun. I've used these on several used shotguns to replace old hardened pads or plastic butt plates.
They're cheap, soft, not too hard to shape and a close fit on a lot of old guns.

Almost a perfect fit for my Mossberg 500. Pad overhangs the stock by about 1/8". Otherwise it's perfect.

I left a previous review saying I had to trim the bottom of the pad as it overhung the bottom past the wood stock. I measured the stock and realized the stock had been shortened. I got the Mossberg 500 used. So that's why the pad seemed long... I'm sure it will fit fine on an unmodified stock.

I fit this to a Boyd's (standard model) replacement stock for Mossberg 500. Had to slot one hole with a file, and trim/sculpt some on the bottom to fit the Boyd's stock contour. It did not take a lot of effort, used Dremel. Turned out awesome and cheap!

This recoil pad was a perfect fit for my Mossberg Maverick 88 wood stock. I previously bought one for a synthetic stock and had to grind it down for a good fit and had to expand the screw holes, however this one fit perfectly with no modifications.
