Heckler & Koch MR556 Handguard Locking Spring

The Brownell's BRN-4 upper set gives you an HK 416 handguard and a locking screw which is nice, but you need this spring to slip into the handguard to capture the screw, so you don't lose it! This is what was always used in the HK product. If you order an BRN-4 upper receiver kit, just order this spring as you will need it. It works great as well!

If your new to HK type hand guards the current listing as of 1/13/23 says this spring helps to keep the hand guard on the barrels nut. This is false. It is sort of spring technically, but it’s function is to simply but effectively retain the hand guards bolt so when the bolt is fully unscrewed it cannot fall out/be removed for the hand guard. This spring technically isn’t required to properly mount the hand guard, just required for ease of use with zero chance of accidental loss of the hand guard retaining bolt… Just FYI since I wasn’t sure how this fit, but knew what it really was. Took me about 2 minutes to make sure I had it in correct direction and to properly install with zero directions. MGW was great to me as I had just placed an order with them and realized I had forgotten this extra tiny spring(almost missed it in small zip lock bag even with label on it that’s how small it really is!)and was last spring I needed for HK416 upper build but couldn’t afford to pay the shippers high prices for even such a tiny zero weight part especially at the time packages were going missing a lot due to Covid and MGW was super great to me and made it so I got the spring I truly needed which I won’t ever forget about and have told my gun nut friends and family to checkout MGW before going other places for anything gun related. Precision part and great customer service given by good people at fair prices… what’s not to like?! Thanks a lot for your generosity MGW!
