Description: Smith & Wesson M&P380 Shield EZ Safety Detent. Manufactured from black coated steel, this safety detent is produced for the Smith & Wesson M&P 380 Shield EZ pistols chambered in .380 Auto. This detent functions by providing positive engagement for the safety selector during operation. This piece is perfect as a spare or as an immediate replacement component for a lost or damaged part.

First time I took my shield ez apart this part went flying. I ordered 2 to be safe. Also, I have the 30 super carry version and this part did fit even though it's listed under the .380.

9MM S&W EZ Manual Safety Detent

While cleaning and putting the S&W 9 EZ back together, the tiny detent that holds the safety lever in position shot across the garage and vanished. I had a difficult time locating a replacement detent and S&W wanted me to send the firearm in to them to evaluate , replace and maybe charge me to fix but would not sell the detent.
Thanks to MGW, I was able to get the part I needed to put the manual safety back on and it works perfectly. Definitely saved a lot of time and hassle.

Ordered to replace the detent I shot across the room 🤷♂️ while taking my EZ9 apart. Listed as EZ380 but also fits EZ9. Don’t work on firearms on a carpeted floor 😁
