Description: Wolff Marlin 1894,1895,336,444 Reduced Power Performance Spring Pack. This Wolff reduced power performance spring pack is manufactured and assembled for the Marlin Model 336, 444, 1894, and 1895 rifles capable of firing 30-30 Win, .35 Remington, .44 Rem Mag, .44 Special, .357 Mag, .38 Special, .45 Colt, .45-70 Govt, .450 Marlin, and .444 Marlin cartridges. This two piece packed kit includes a reduced power hammer spring (straight body design) and a reduced power finger lever plunger spring. Once installed, these springs help improve functions most wanted for cowboy action shooting thanks to reduced power performance design. These springs are perfect as spares, immediate replacements, and for fine tuning your Marlin rifles.

Spring pack works well and made a brand new Ruger Marlin 1894 work very smooth. Rifle action was stiff new out of the box. Had a gunsmith install the spring pack along with slicking up the action, now it is very smooth and easy to use. Hammer spring works fine, no misfires.

Light primer strikes in Marlin 336

When I installed the reduced power hammer spring along with my Ranger point precision trigger. I had several light strikes on the primer. So I removed it. It did reduce the trigger pull, but I would hate to miss out on a big buck due to a light strike. So make sure that it works reliably with your ammo. I did however install the reduced power finger lever plunger spring. It made it easier to work the action with no issues. So I kept it in.

I love the way this spring made my marlin more accurate by reducing the trigger, before I would pull off target because of a 5 to 7 pound trigger pull, I would recommend this to anyone with a marlin lever gun.

Hammer spring works for trigger pull, finger lever spring left my finger lever drooping as it would not catch. Replace original finger lever spring and all was well. The hammer spring does reduce trigger pull and makes it easier to pull back the hammer. You can get it separately if you wish. The kit is so inexpensive that you can try both to see if it works for you. Both replacements are easy to do.
