This OEM factory original steel strain screw is manufactured for the Smith & Wesson X-frame Models of revolvers chambered in the .500 S&W Magnum, .460 S&W Magnum, .45 Colt, and .454 Casull cartridges. The strain screw functions by retaining and allowing adjustments to the mainspring. This component is perfect on the workbench as a spare or as an immediate replacement piece for a lost or damaged part.
