Description: Smith & Wesson M&P Shield 9 / 40 Slide Stop Spring. This slide stop spring is made from steel with a matte blued finish and is a factory original part from Smith & Wesson. The slide stop spring is created for the M&P Shield 9 / 40 model of pistols from Smith & Wesson chambered in 9mm & .40 S&W respectively. The spring gives tension to the slide stop on the side of the frame to properly provided a smooth motion to the stop. This spring is perfect for use in an emergency replacement stash and can be great to have in the spare parts chest. This item is proudly made in the USA by Smith & Wesson.

Bought a used M&P Shield 9 and the slide stop spring was bent and locking the slide from removal for cleaning. I had contacted Smith & Wesson for a replacement but after 3 weeks I decided to order one. I found this one and it arrived fast. Had it replaced quickly and the gun is back up and running fine. Ironically S&W still mailed me the part but it took them 4 weeks to mail what took Midwest 2 days to deliver.
