Description: Smith & Wesson M&P Shield Magazine Catch. This mag catch is a matte blued steel component that is a factory original part from Smith & Wesson. The magazine catch is created for the M&P Shield 9 / 40 and 45 M2.0 models of pistols from Smith & Wesson chambered in 9mm, .40 S&W, & .45 ACP respectively. The magazine catch retains the magazine when inserted into the firearm. This catch is perfect for use in an emergency replacement stash and can be great to have in the spare parts chest. This item is proudly made in the USA by Smith & Wesson.

When I bought my gun it had an aftermarket release and I hated it. It stuck out to far. I like the product. It’s just like the original piece.

Was looking for this part after buying a used Shield which had an after market mag release that looked terrible… neon red. Wanted the gun back to its original look and function. Checked other web sites and it was either out of stock or an after market crazy color and double the cost. Bought the mag catch came right away. Fits is good since an oem part and looks like it wanted it too. Thanks so much for the good parts and service!!!!!
