Description: Ruger 10/22 Guide Rod Assembly. Assembled from quality steel components, this OEM standard guide rod is manufactured for the highly customizable Ruger 10/22 .22 LR modular rifle platforms. The recoil guide rod assembly helps mitigate the felt recoil of the rifle when fired and absorbs much of the backward force along with helping to cycle the firearm. Works great, the old one was worn out, it had a lot weaker spring pressure.

I bought this OEM thinking I should have a spare and that it might improve reliability, cause I was having a couple of jams. Behold it worked better than the one that came with the rifle (new rifle). So, sometimes there might be differences between original parts. The one from MGW worked best. However, I had to dip it in solvent and brush some rust off, and also saturated with gun oil. I had done the same for the other one.
