I owned a 870 shockwave...my wife didn't like the birds head stock..so I purchased a pistol grip and was informed it would make the firearm illegal so I purchased the 18.5 inch barrel ... my wife loves it and she can control the (jump) recoil much better...damn good quality item at a very good price..thanks

I actually purchased TWO of these Remington 18.5" barrels, one for my 20 GA and one for my 12 GA. To be honest I was surprised how much they each cost but the enjoyment I've gotten using them for shooting skeet really makes up for it. The people I shoot with now talk about bringing their short barrel guns to try out but so far they are sticking with the 28" guns. Also accuracy with the short barrels is very good. Want to try something different and have a home defense barrel if needed? It is a nice option to have!
