Heckler & Koch MR762 Black/FDE Long Range Package III w/ Vortex Viper, Bipod, & G28 Buttstock
Product Description
Description: Heckler & Koch MR762 Black/FDE Long Range Package III w/ Vortex Viper, Bipod, & G28 Buttstock. This advanced Heckler & Koch MR762 rifle is the battle-proven civilian rifle from HK chambered in 7.62x51mm. The long-range rifle package features the reliable HK short-stroke gas piston, both a 20 and 10 round translucent polymer mag, 16.5" cold hammer forged barrel, Vortex Viper rifle scope, adjustable G28 FDE stock and H&K quality to give the shooter ultimate performance with every shot. Also included is a beefy FDE tactical hard fitted case. The HK free floating handguard on this MR762A1 has many M-LOK accessory attachment points along with the mil-spec 1913 Picatinny rail on top and sturdy LaRue Tactical BRM-S bipod installed. This rifle is made to the high standards of Heckler & Koch and is crafted to deliver premium performance.
Taking an essentially standard MR762A1 (caliber 7.62 x 51 mm NATO) semi-automatic rifle, Heckler & Koch USA turns it into a more effective precision rifle by an astute addition of the right optics and accessories. A Vortex Viper PSTII 3-15x44 FFP MRAD, HK G28 adjustable cheekpiece buttstock, and LaRue Tactical BRM-S bipod are the primary add-ons that make the MR762A1 Long Rifle Package (LRP) more than a sum of parts.
Like its 5.56 mm counterpart, the MR762A1 is a direct descendent of the HK416/417 series, only in a semi-automatic rifle configuration developed for civilian users. It is assembled in the USA using US and German-made components and uses many of the same parts and assemblies developed for the legendary HK416 and 417.
The MR762A1 uses a proprietary HK short-stroke gas piston in place of the direct-gas-impingement system found on lesser AR15-style rifles that propels exhaust gas into the upper receiver to operate the action. In the "closed" HK piston system, exhaust gasses never enter the receiver, which means the HK runs cooler, cleaner and more reliably. And when adverse conditions, like dust, sand and mud are introduced, the advantage of the HK system becomes even more drastic. That is why so many of the world's elite military and law-enforcement customers have absolute trust in their HKs.
