Heckler & Koch MR556A1 Semi-Auto 5.56mm Rifle, 16.5" Barrel, with 30rd Magazine
Product Description
Description: Heckler & Koch MR556A1 Semi-Auto 5.56mm Rifle, 16.5" Barrel, with 30rd Magazine. This Heckler & Koch MR556 A1 rifle is the battle-proven civilian rifle from HK chambered in 5.56x45mm. This rifle features the reliable HK short-stroke gas piston, a 30 round steel mag, adjustable stock, flip-up sights and H&K quality to give the shooter ultimate performance with every shot. Also included is a black tactical carrying case featuring PALS webbing and pouches. The HK free floating handguard on this MR556A1 has many M-LOK accessory attachment points along with the mil-spec 1913 picatinny rail on top. This premium machined alloy handguard allows all current accessories such as sights, lights and aimers to be fitted. This rifle is made to the high standards of Heckler & Koch and is crafted to deliver premium performance.
A direct descendant of the world-famous HK416, the MR556A1 is the commercial carbine from the same DNA. It offers the battlefield-proven reliability, durability and precision you would expect from a rifle that bears the name Heckler & Koch.
The MR556A1 is assembled in the USA using US and German-made components and uses many of the same parts and assemblies developed for the HK416. Like the HK416, the MR556A1 uses a proprietary HK short-stroke gas piston in place of the direct-gas-impingement system found on lesser AR15-style rifles that propels exhaust gas into the upper receiver to operate the action. In the "closed" HK piston system, exhaust gasses never enter the receiver, which means the HK runs cooler, cleaner and more reliably.

HK Gas System
Like the HK416, the MR556A1 uses a proprietary HK short-stroke gas piston in place of the direct-gas-impingement system found on lesser AR15-style rifles that propels exhaust gas into the upper receiver to operate the action. In the "closed" HK piston system, exhaust gasses never enter the receiver, which means the HK runs cooler, cleaner and more reliably.
When adverse conditions, like dust, sand and mud are introduced, the advantage of the HK system becomes even more drastic. That is why so many of the world's elite military and law-enforcement customers have absolute trust in their HKs.
Adjustable Stock
The rifle features an adjustable stock which can adjust the overall length of the firearm by up to 3-3/4".
Magazine
A 30 round, black finished, steel magazine ships with the MR556A1.
Tactical Case
