Product Description
Description: Hecker & Koch *Special Edition* MR27 Deployment Kit w/ Trijicon ACOG / RMR 5.56mm 16.5" Barrel 30 Round Magazine, 1 of 500. This advanced Heckler & Koch M27 rifle is the battle-proven civilian rifle from HK chambered in 5.56x45mm. One of only five hundred made, this special edition tribute rifle "Deployment Kit" features the reliable HK short-stroke gas piston, a 30 round polymer mag, 16.5" cold hammer forged barrel, Trijicon ACOG and RMR combo, adjustable stock, Harris S-LM bipod, and H&K quality to give the shooter ultimate performance with every shot. Also included is a beefy FDE tactical hard fitted case with wheels. The HK free floating handguard on this M27 has a quad Picatinny rail with vertical grip installed. A LaRue Tactical bipod adapter and a quick detach scope mount are used on this loadout. This rifle is made to the high standards of Heckler & Koch and is crafted to deliver premium performance.
In 2010, the US Marine Corps adopted the HK M27 as its new Infantry Automatic Rifle (IAR). The rifle is named for the 1st Marine Division, 2nd Battalion, 7th Regiment, that tested the rifles and IAR (infantry automatic rifle) concept for more than a decade. Replacing the M249 for rifle squads, the M27 was once declared, "The most tested weapon in the history of the Marine Corps." The M27 has proven itself again and again, from the test ranges at Twentynine Palms to the Global War on Terror - and beyond.
With its precision, durability, and reliability, the M27 expanded beyond the initial role of IAR. The M27 is fielded today as an IAR, precision rifle, general infantry rifle, and most recently as a short-barreled upper receiver Reconnaissance Weapons Kit (RWK). Now civilians can own a piece of Marine Corps history with a limited-run HK MR27, a civilian-legal tribute to the M27. The MR27 uses the same HK DNA and offers the battlefield-proven reliability, durability, and precision of a worthy homage to such a proven military rifle.
Only 1,000 MR27 Special Edition rifles will be offered - 500 "Deployment Kits" will be kitted as fielded by the Marine Corps including Blue Force Gear sling, Magpul magazine, Harris bipod, Knights Armament BUIS, Manta rail covers, and a combination Trijicon ACOG / RMR optic set.

16.5" Barrel
The barrel of the M27 measures 16.5" and is cold hammer forged from the highest quality cannon-grade steel. The barrel comes with an installed flash hider for improved performance on follow up shots, and has rifling at a 1:7" twist with 6 grooves.
ACOG + RMR
The M27 ships with a Trijicon ACOG 3.5x35 BAC riflescope installed that features a 9 MOA RMR dual illuminated amber dot sight (RM05) affixed to the top - SKU: TA11SDO-CP. This optic has a LaRue Tactical levered quick detach mount along with scope caps and a Tenebrax killFlash anti-reflective device. The ACOG utilizes both a fiber optic line and tritium to produce a red horseshoe dot for target acquisition.
Tactical Case
The rifle ships in an air-tight fitted hard tactical case which boasts an FDE color, travel wheels, sturdy handles, air purge dial and an overall durable design. The HK logo is embedded on the outside of the case.
Bipod
A Harris S-LM 9" to 13" bipod is included to provide additional support to the rifle when firing from a bench or other surface. The bipod legs fold down/up with ease and are adjustable in length to fit current scenario needs. The bipod also provides a degree of sway/roll to better position the rifle on target.
HK Gas System
Like the HK417, the M27 uses a proprietary HK short-stroke gas piston in place of the direct-gas-impingement system found on lesser AR15-style rifles that propels exhaust gas into the upper receiver to operate the action. In the "closed" HK piston system, exhaust gasses never enter the receiver, which means the HK runs cooler, cleaner and more reliably.
Grips and Coverings
Along with an installed vertical grip, the rifle has Picatinny rail coverings from Manta; rubberized FDE panels placed over unused portions of the pic rails.
