I prefer this mag catch over the stock Glock catch. Much easier to actuate and the slightly rounded edge also makes it easier on the thumb!

I got this part because I prefer using a right-handed magazine release on subcompacts when shooting left-handed. I use the middle finger of my left hand because the base of that hand clears the mag well more easily when adjusting to actuate the magazine catch. This allows the magazine to drop more freely than when I do it right-handed (or if I was to do it left-handed after switching the mag catch to the other side). The reason for the change is that the original OEM part has a sharp corner that is a bit annoying when using a right-hand configuration left-handed. I would have sanded it down (no biggie), but I was ordering something anyway. If it was more than $4 I probably wouldn't have bought it, but as such it is a relatively painless upgrade.
