Description: Bushmaster ACR Barrel, 5.56mm 14.5". This black ACR barrel assembly is hammer forged 4150 chrome moly vanadium stainless steel and boasts a melonite treatment for maximum durability. This item features a quick detach barrel system and an adjustable two position gas piston system. This Bushmaster ACR barrel also comes with the 51T AAC flash hider which delivers increased accuracy and durability.

Bought this barrel and dropped it into my Windham, ACR. Went in easy. Locked in tight. Shoots great. With the current ammo crunch I've only got about 100 rounds through it. No issues so far. 1/7 twist barrel. I put the barrel extension on a Reaction Rod and used a wrench to see if I could get the muzzle device off. Nope. It's not pinned and welded. Whatever they used its not coming off. Total length with muzzle device is over 16".

I never liked the step in 18.5" barrel that originally came on my ACR, this is what it should have had in the first place!
I did have to remove and replace the suppressor mount for my YHM Ti, but MAP gas heat and it came right off, then put on my mount and had it blind pinned and its legal at 16.2" ... plus the 1/7 twist stabilizes my hand-loads better than the original 1/9 as I never bothered working up a load for just that rifle.
Now I just have to decide if I'm going to take the parts off my old barrel and build it into a 300AAC, or just sell the 18.5" barrel!

Buying parts for a firearm that is no longer in production can be tricky at times with unexpected surprises along the way, however my ACR barrel from Midwest Gunworks arrived promptly and just as I had hoped- in brand new factory condition! I will not hesitate to order more parts from them in the future for my ACR, or any other firearm for that matter!
