This timing Latch must be used on type 1 and 2 Browning BAR rifles if you are using a new style bolt sleeve.

Browning BAR History
The production of the BAR high power rifle began in 1967 and lasted through 1992. The BAR Mark II series was introduced in 1993 and is still in production.

In 1975 Browning standardized its serial number identification which it followed until 1998.
