Description: Browning A-Bolt Rifle & Shotgun Trigger Assembly with Sear and Screw, Gold. This factory Gold Trigger Assembly features the trigger, sear & sear screw. Made from steel with a gold finish this factory OEM part fits the Browning A-Bolt, A-Bolt II & A-Bolt 22 rifles, as well as the Browning A-Bolt Shotguns. The gold triggers came standard in the Hunter and Stalker versions of the A-Bolt rifles, however this trigger will still fit the stainless models.

  • Will NOT fit the Target or other model A-Bolt rifles with set triggers.

Browning A-Bolt History

The production of the A-Bolt bolt action rifle began in 1985. In 1994, Browning introduced the BOSS (Ballistic Optimizing Shooting System) and with it the A-Bolt II. The A-Bolt II Model is currently in production.

In 1975 Browning standardized its serial number identification.

  1. Serial Number beginning with 01001 at the start of each year.
  2. Date of Manufacture is a two digit code:
    Z=1, Y=2, X=3, W=4, V=5, T=6, R=7, P=8, N=9, M=0
  3. A-Bolt Type:
    2G7=Gold Medallion
    217=Medallion
    L17=Medallion Left Hand
    2M7=Micro Medallion
    717=Hunter
    E17=Euro-Bolt
    7S7=Stainless Stalker
    LS7=Stainless Stalker Left Hand
    7C7=Composite Stalker

This would be an A-Bolt Gold Medallion rifle,manufactured in 1985 with the serial number 01001.
1994-1998

In 1994 Browning introduced the BOSS (Ballistic Optimizing Shooting System). Along with the BOSS, Browning made changes to the A-Bolt and introduced the A-Bolt II.

  1. Serial Number beginning with 01001 at the start of each year.

In 1998 Browning redid the standardization of its serial number identifications to work with its new data base program, Oracle.

  3. A-Bolt II Type: 351=All A-Bolt II Centerfire Rifles

Broke trigger on my A-Bolt ll. Cheap pot metal. Browning wanted $120 for complete assy. Wouldn’t sell just trigger. Rifle sat in safe for 2 years until I found this. Incredible fast shipping so $42 and 15 minutes of work later my rifle is back in action and ready for deer season. Thanks to Midwest.

Easy to exchange broken trigger with new one- 10-15 minutes (need good set off screwdrivers- Weaver multi bit or similar ) New trigger works flawlessly! Ordering quick/ straightforward - shipping smooth and easy. Arrived earlier than expected. Will use MGW agin without hesitation.
