Beretta CX4 Guide Rod & Spring Assembly

Bought a CX4 from local gun store and when I disassembled it to clean and inspect after my first trip to the range the guide rod assembly blew apart. Found this replacement part here at MGW and placed an order right away. It came quickly through the mail and I had I’d it installed in moments. Everything worked fine right out of the package and into the gun. Next step was a trip to the range where everything ran flawlessly. I couldn’t be happier. Thank you MGW.

Only owned the gun for 30-minutes before this piece broke. End where the link is sheared off. Apparently a common problem. A smith in UT makes one out of steel with bronze link and heavy duty block. I had to pay $100 for this piece, but have peace of mind knowing it will not break on me at the range or in an emergency situation. Cannot say the engineers did consumers right by not reengineering this POS.

Kept the stock guide rod, just in case. Ordered this one for the Sierra Papa upgrade to metal guide rod and metal bolt to recoil spring link. You have to do a little fitting to the link. Not hard at all. Just not a fan of plastic in these heavy use parts.

Part was in stock shipped fast and a fair price! I bought 2 of them so I had a spare. Will continue shopping here!

Cheap peice of s*** plastic breaks all the time, apparently... the Rod is tapered towards the base, where mine and others break the most often... Annoying and unlike Beretta. Thank you for providing an affordable replacement...

I choose this OEM assembly as a future direct replacement (just in case?) over the metal version with its 3.5% credit card fee. It makes for a perfect Storm.

I got a factory part at a great price and it arrived quickly. So, there ya have it.

With this assembly being a Beretta authentic replacement part , it was a perfect match and fit . However ; Beretta should improve this part because the guide rod is plastic and subject to breakage . When it breaks , it usually does so where the rod joins the base . This could be easily corrected by Beretta with a more substantial rod . Come on Beretta , this plastic guide rod is cheap , unlike Beretta , and should be fixed . Thanks to Midwest Gunworks for being the only source for this part !

This is an excellent part and works perfectly in my weapon.

The original rod and spring assembly was poorly made. The spring was glued onto the end of the rod and after stored for a bit simply fell apart. This one is much better design and doesn't look like it will fall apart. Giving it 4 start because haven't taken the old CX4 to the range yet.

The guide arrived faster than expected and was a perfect fit.

Broke my guide rod by not cocking back the bolt. Totally my fault, wasn’t paying attention. Beretta doesn’t carry this anymore and refers me to Brownells who in turn is out of stock and more expensive. When my order came in 3 days later I was so relieved. So needless to say Midwest Gunworks is now my Go to for any parts from now on!
