Solved a Beretta AL2 Ejection Problem

My 50 year old Beretta AL2 20 gauge is in general excellent condition but was having ejection problems. The old recoil spring seemed a likely suspect. So I chose to replace it with this model. Once I had the old spring out, it was obvious that It had a much different length than the new one. With this new spring the gun runs flawlessly with many different loads.
The AL2 is a forerunner of the 301-303 series. Yes, this spring works for it too.
One suggestion - prior to installation, review some videos and postings on how to disassemble and reassemble the Beretta recoil spring assembly. This is NOT a knock on the product. It is just that the spring assembly will want to fly apart like a toy canned snake. I inserted a wooden dowel down the middle of the spring and that helped me maintain control of it.
