This $6 item was shipped quickly and fit perfectly on my Springfield Armory 1911. My original was lost as I was re-assembling my gun after cleaning. It flipped out my hand and hit the ceiling not to be found immediately. I did find it later as I was cleaning up the area, so now I have a spare.

I ordered the recoil spring plug because mine took a flight across my garage. I've never had problems getting the plug under the bushing. New gun, but a 1911 is a 1911. The problem does not make sense, so i'm sending the gun back to manufacturer and let them figure it out. Nothing wrong with plug.
