Bought this safety for my first 1911 build, to replace the standard safety in the kit. Installed with very little fitting. Had to sand the groove were the safeties connect, so they would connect. And I had to minimally file the safety. The “lefty” safety is a bit difficult to engage, but disengages with a flick of the thumb.

I bought this design because it has a smaller leaver and profile which IMO is better for concealed carry. It's less likely to get knocked off accidently and it's still large enough to be flicked off quickly. It fit fine with little file work.

I replaced the ambidextrous safety on my Sig 1911 TacOps for cosmetic reasons. The existing safety worked just fine but was badly scuffed up.
Installation was a breeze. I was prepared to do some filing on the new safety but it fit and worked perfectly just as it came from the factory.
It's a quality piece, very well finished and reasonably priced. What's not to like?

Black color is polished. Didnt match matte finish of slide stop well. Functions fine doesnt scratch frame. Sig parts are always good quality.
