Wilson Combat, Shotgun Receiver Assembly for Adjustable Stock

I had originally purchased and installed a 'Mesa Tactical' Gen 2 LEO 870 stock adapter, but got this 'Wilson Combat' version to replace it. Why? Well, my Remington 870 has my preferred shotgun iron sight, that bring a bead sight, which the Mesa Tactical places high because of the lack of angle the Mesa Tactical adapter offers. When I ran across pictures of the Wilson Combat version, I noticed the the buffer tube angle on it somewhat mimics that of a standard buttstock. Well, after my having received and installed this Wilson Combat version, I found it to indeed shoulder better for me, allowing me to use my gun's bead sight as intended. The price of this package includes the adapter, buffer tube, buffer tube castle nut, and the adapter bolt for it's installation. The finish is a true flat anodizing, not a powder coat paint like found on the Mesa Tactical adapter. Also, while the Mesa Tactical adapter is made out of a cast aluminum, this Wilson Combat adapter is milled from a solid billet of 7075 T6 aluminum. The Wilson Combat version not only works better for my needs than the Mesa Tactical version did, it also visually exhibits it's higher quality manufacturing. Another plus was how fast I received this accessory from MGW. This company is a great company to order items from... Overall I give Two thumbs up to both MGW and Wilson Combat on this purchase.
