As mentioned by several previous owners on various websites, this piece should have been an integral item of the rifle. Installing/attaching this saves from incessant knuckle raking on the shell deflector’s molded protrusion. Hoping it remains on the charging handle for protracted fire; thus far, it functions well for greater hand/finger purchase to charge the rifle.
