Machined from durable aluminum with a black anodized finish, this one-piece scope mount from EGW is designed for Ruger American rifle models chambered in short action calibers. The rail is available in different Minute of Angle (MOA) options which include 0 MOA and 20 MOA. The rail is easy to install and comes with screws and a T-10 bit to ensure proper fitment onto your rifle. My Ruger 1st gen American rifle came with fixed mounts for optics which didn't work for the scope I wanted to use. EGW makes an awesome rail! It's long enough to give me the eye relief I needed. If you need a rail for a 1st gen Ruger American, I highly recommend this one. It even came with screws, which you won't need but nice of them to include. Good Luck and Happy Shooting!
