Beretta PX4 Type D Hammer Spring

This spring reduces the weight of the double-action trigger pull on the PX4, but still provides very reliable ignition of each round. Installation is very easy.

This simple spring replacement made quite a difference with my 92A1's the DA trigger pull. Easy to install and hasn't affected the reliability.

For the price, it’s a “why not” upgrade. It’s very simple, although not as easy as I expected. My lanyard loop retaining pin was very difficult to get out. The work required a mallet and punch. Once the pin is out, you drop out the old spring and drop in the new one. Make sure to drop the spring around the strut inside of the grip. My double-action trigger pull dropped from about 12 lbs. to under 8lbs.

Beretta's website calls this part the "BERETTA D Spring Hammer 92 - 8000 - PX4 Series". In other words, it can be used on the 92, 8000 and PX4 series guns. I used it on my 92FS. According to various YouTube videos, the stock 92FS spring is a 20# spring. WAY TOO STRONG!!! This is why the double action pull is so hard and why 9 out of 10 people choose Glock over Beretta. The "BERETTA D Spring Hammer 92 - 8000 - PX4 Series" spring is a 13# spring, WAY BETTER! If you take the 5 minutes it takes to remove the stock spring and replace it with this spring, it's like getting a new gun, the Beretta you wanted in the first place. Definitely do it
