I have a new (yes, I actually bought it new in 2020) made in 1987 Remington 1100 Special with a wood stock. The fixed pin that comes off of the carrier was about 1mm too high to match up to the hole in the carrier latch. MGW provided me the number to Remington. Remington also confirmed that it should fit for my shotgun. MGW and Remington both said that if another was sent, it would likely have the same issue. Remington recommended I take it to a gunsmith. I decided not to do that. Therefore, I bent the pin down to meet the hole in the carrier latch. 1 star off because an OEM part should drop right in and I shouldn't have to fiddle with it. Otherwise, works as expected and extends the release button, which is nice.
