Constructed of the same durable polymer found on a Glock, this extended magazine release for Glock G43X and G48 pistols chambered in 9mm, is the ideal solution when replacing the undersized OEM mag release of your handgun. Available in black, this mag release is sure to add an extended amount of control no matter your finger length or size. The release extends for a more positive engagement from the operator and can be installed in just minutes for either left or right handed shooting.

No more shifting your grip to access the factory undersized control, this release still offers a positive operation regardless of finger size or length. Made of the same bullet proof material as used in all previous GMR models, the unique shape prevents unwanted magazine release if placed on a hard surface. And it's ambidextrous!

Slightly Better than the Factory

I think it is a good compromise between a carry and competition mag release. Certainly better than the factory. As it came out of the box, the magazine would not release. Five minutes of adjustment with a little sandpaper and it works perfectly.

TangoDown magazine catch for G43X/G48

I bought one as currently the factory catches seem to be unavailable anywhere. It took me a bit to figure out removing the old, well worn factory catch. The slim line mag catch is different from the Gen2-4 guns that I have used for decades. I actually made a tool to reach in and detach the spring without any chance of gouging the frame. But when I installed this unit it did not let the mags drop free. The dimensions were off just enough to engage one side of the mag or the other when the catch was pressed. Only after some careful filing away did it finally work. So yes, it works now but I will replace it as soon as factory catches become available.
