Description: Gre-Tan Remington 700 Short Action Firing Pin Assembly Lite Steel. Manufactured from precision machined aluminum and steel components, this Gre-Tan Rifles firing pin assembly is designed to fit Remington Model 700 rifles chambered in short action calibers like .223 Rem, .308 Win, 7mm-08 Rem, .220 Swift and others. This assembly comes anodized in either a matte black, matte silver or satin black finish. The assembly features a lightweight aluminum firing pin shaft coupled with a strong steel tip expertly joined together to prevent failure. Remington 722, Model 40-X rifle models can fit this firing pin assembly as well as J-Lock Remington bolts. I ordered a Remington 700 short action firing pin in silver finish. Received a model 7 firing pin in polished blue, the ordered item was correct, the packaging was correct but the firing pin was not. Reached out to customer service, told them of the issue and was shipped the correct firing pin. customer service was motivated and courteous, providing me with an RTS label by email, but they did not send the replacement part until the RTS label was reported in USPS system. This was the 3rd firing pin assembly I have ordered from MGW and never had issues before. I will continue to do business with them now more so knowing their customer service is backing up what they sell.
