Description: Hogue HandALL Smith & Wesson M&P 9 Shield Plus Beavertail Grip Sleeve, FDE. This HandALL grip sleeve from Hogue is molded from a durable yet comfortable flat dark earth rubber and fits the S&W M&P Shield Plus pistol models chambered in 9mm. This grip will also fit nicely on other models (listed below) though not specifically designed for a Precision Fit. The grip sleeve slides over the frame for a very tight and secure grip. A beavertail portion of the sleeve cushions the hand during recoil for extra comfort. The COBBLESTONE texture provides a superior non-slip grip, the front finger grooves increase control dramatically and the unique rubber material is virtually impervious to all oils and solvents thrown at it. Trust the innovative designs of a Hogue rubber grip replacement on your pistol and experience more accurate and manageable shots.

Features:

  • Gentle palm swells fit comfortably in hand.
  • Finger grooves naturally position fingers for optimal grip.
  • Textured with Hogue's famous Cobblestone pattern for increased comfort and grip.
  • Beavertail cushions the hand on recoil and offers increased hand comfort higher on the grip.
  • Made from long lasting durable thermoplastic elastomer that ages gracefully for years of service.
  • Designed for a tight and secure fit engaging with the texture and contours of the firearm's frame.

The M&P 9mm Shield Plus stock handle is textured over the entirety of its surface. The new HandALL however, does NOT have any texturing on the back or front of grip; only texturing has been applied to the sides. So your hand palm has a grip, but the inside of your thumb and fingers do not. I can see this as being detrimental with sweaty, or worse, bloody hands. I do like the contrast of FDE color against the black weapon. If you’re looking to add some color to your gun; this is GREAT! If you are looking to add more gripping power the Beavertail design will help, but all that is lost without a suitable textured grip. The 9mm Shield Plus has a GREAT textured handle, like heavy duty sandpaper and unfortunately the HandALL only substantially subtracts from that. A GOOGLE search shows previous models did indeed have a FULLY TEXTURED GRIP, they should consider continuing the Full Texture design. As far as installation. No magic here folks. - Assuming the weapon is at a comfortable room temperature. - Place a coffee cup full of water in the microwave for 60-90 seconds. - Insert the HandALL into the cup for another 60-90 seconds. - Carefully remove the HandALL from the cup. - Insert fingers/thumbs into the HandALL in an attempt to carefully stretch the opening a bit further… careful not to rip the rubber. - Now with the gun in SAFE condition and mag removed, slip REAR of handle into the WET HandALL. - Next begin to stretch over the front of the handle. - Continue to push and pull the HandALL until fully seated with NO rubber showing past the magazine opening. - If you’re cussing and/or sweating… you’re doing it wrong. - Alcohol based Windex may be used as a lubricant if needed. - Basically it’s Condom Wrapping 101 for the extremely well-endowed man!
