Description: Sig Sauer MCX Piston (J02) Assembly for 11.5" Barrel, 5.56 NATO. This piston assembly is for the MCX series of rifles chambered in 5.56x45mm and equipped with a 11.5" long barrel. This piston assembly includes a piston (specifically for 5.56x45mm), spiral gas ring, gas valve, and a gas valve lever. Assembled from quality steel components, this assembly contols the amount and travel of gas released during the operation of the firearm. Gas-operated rifles utilize an ample amount of high-pressured gas (via the piston assembly) during operation to dispose of the spent casing and forward live ammo into the chamber.
