Bolt Recoil replacement spring

My Kris’s Vector only liked the CCI AR Tacticle .22lr bullets.
Using CCI Mini Mags caused excessive jamming. Watching a friend shoot the rifle, it looked like the bolt was closing faster than the extractor could remove the case. I thought if I could slow down the bolt, the case had a better chance to eject. I had planed to shorten the new spring 1/4”. However it was 3/8” longer than original but it was also softer.
Out of 80 rounds fired of CCI MM, only one failure to eject.
Previous would have been one of every 5.
