Description: Lancer Systems AR-15 Carbon Fiber Handguard, Octagon w/o Rail, 6" Carbine Length. This 7.20" long handguard is M-LOK compatible and lighweight, weighing only 8.37 oz. This hand guard is designed to fit a barrel with a carbine length gas system and fixed front sight post. It is made of carbon fiber with an aluminum reciever extension. The cooling slots are M-LOK compatible and also help control barrel temperature. The hand guard is a free float design comprising of a custom octagon shaped carbon-fiber handguard tube connected to the upper receiver with a 7075-T6 aluminum upper receiver extension. An upper receiver extension machined from 7075-T6 aluminum is provided to attach the carbon tube to the threads of the upper receiver. This, along with a QPQ nitrocarburized barrel nut, makes the free floating handguard an integral part of the rifle providing a secure connection.

- Free float design ensures that the barrel is not affected by pressure on the handguard, eliminating point of impact deviations
- Fits standard 5.56mm / .223 Rem. AR upper receivers. To be used with a barrel with carbine length gas system and fixed front sight post.
- Low profile, carbon fiber tube is as rigid and impact resistant as lightweight aluminum free float tube designs
- Cooling slots are M-LOK compatible
- Accessory slots are located at 6 o'clock for an accessory rail and holes for a sling swivel stud so a bi‐pod can be attached
- Inner/Outer Diameter is 1.7"/2.00"
- When using a handguard that extends over the gas block, use of a low profile gas block is required
- Designed, tooled, manufactured, and assembled in the United States of America
Note: Free float design installation requires the removal of the rifle's barrel and specialized knowledge in AR rifle disassembly / assembly. It is recommended that this part be installed by a qualified gunsmith.
