I purchased this product because it came in the right height needed to put my POI where it needed to be.
It is a great sight but beware: Even though it is advertised as being for a 3/8" dovetail, it came measuring oversized at .386".
You will have to fit it to your dovetail.
I did not have one of those little triangle files, so I put it in a vise upside down and filed down the base until it finally entered the dovetail and was able to be seated properly and snugly.
I am super happy with the results even though there is a space between the bottom of the sight and the top of the dovetail.

The sight is nicely machined. I bought it knowing I had to modify the dovetail to fit the oddball groove in my muzzleloader which I did, and it is the perfect solution to the broken blade sight that was on the rifle.
