Okay to clamp a slide in with one caveat, please READ BELOW.

Obviously MGW cannot make clamping shoes for their sight pushers that fit every semi-auto pistol slide known to man. IF you do use these to clamp a slide on the sight pusher without a shoe, I highly advise buying a set of expanding parallel blocks. Find the block that fits the best INSIDE the slide. Place it inside the slide. Now loosen the screws that hold each half of the parallel block and expand it as wide as possible, making 100% sure the center is centered on the part the pusher will engage. It should NOT fall out of the slide. Now clamp the slide inside the sight pusher, and perform the steps of pushing out the old sight and pushing in the new sight. The parallel block will keep the slide from being crushed. The parallel blocks work like two wedges that force themselves open inside the slide. I have incurred zero damage using this technique. Your mileage may vary.
