Description: Springfield Armory 1911 Checkered Cocobolo Grip Set, Magwell, Ambi. Crafted from rich cocobolo wood, this 1911 grip set is a factory original component developed by Springfield Armory. The grip set is designed for 1911 model pistols and includes both left and right grips which feature a checkered pattern for better grip. The set of grips will accommodate 1911 models with ambidextrous controls and a full straight magwell. These grips are ideal replacement components for lost or damaged pieces and are also great to throw in the spares chest. As with any other item manufactured by Springfield, this part reflects the quality and craftsmanship you have come to expect from Springfield Armory.
Includes both left and right grip plates.

OK grips. one has nice wood grain, the other not so much. Like so many SA 1911 grips, I find them a bit narrow. I tried them on a couple of pistols but ultimately ended up putting in a box with other extra grips.

I have bought many grips for my 1911. None had the look or feel I wanted. These grips are the same as used on the custom Springfield Professional. The fit perfectly have an attractive appearance and have enough texture for good grip. These are exactly what I wanted and are on my daily carry. Can’t go wrong

I ordered the grips pictured that were double diamond checkered grips, but the grips that arrived were just pure checkered.
They were Maxwell cut, and that was more important, so I just accepted the grips that arrived because the project needed to be done
I was disappointed that I did not receive double diamond grips, but not disappointed enough to go through the hassle of waiting for a replacement set to be shipped to me
Beyond the fact that they are not double diamond, the quality is excellent

The grips fit great and look good. The picture above shows double diamond grips but that’s not what I received. No double diamond, more like what comes on the Springfield Professional. I ordered two sets and both are like the Professional model. I’m happy with this purchase.
