Description: Springfield Armory 1911 Flat Mainspring Housing, Smooth. This Springfield Armory flat mainspring housing is manufactured for the 1911 pistols chambered in .45 ACP, .38 Super, 9mm, 10mm and .40 S&W. This steel constructed mainspring housing features a smooth rear and houses the mainspring, cap pin, mainspring housing pin retainer and cap. In conjunction with the appropriately installed components, this mainspring housing is installed into the rear bottom of the pistol's frame.
