Description: Sig Sauer MCX SPEAR Rifle, 6.8x51 16" Barrel, 20 Round Magazine. Developed with the best features of the original MCX and as the civilian model of the Army's new XM7 rifle, this MCX Spear from Sig Sauer boasts a 16" barrel, a coyote anodized finish, a rugged handguard/receiver design and is chambered for 6.8x51mm (.277 Fury). The barrel has a 5/8" x 24 TPI thread cut with a QD suppressor-ready flash hider installed. The reinforced free-floating M-LOK handguard surrounds the cold hammer forged steel interchangeable barrel and the two-position adjustable gas valve. A curved Matchlite Duo match-grade trigger is installed, rifle controls are fully ambidextrous and the firearm boasts a six position adjustable/foldable Magpul SL-M stock. The MCX Spear is built for reliability and offers the same outstanding quality you would expect from any other Sig platform. Outfit this rifle with all the accessories you want to tailor it to your specific comfort, shooting and situational needs.

In 2022, a historical announcement was made to officially select the SIG SAUER MCX-SPEAR as the XM7 service rifle by the U.S. Army. In combination with the groundbreaking 6.8x51 hybrid ammunition, the SIG SAUER MCX-SPEAR has become the pinnacle by which rifle capabilities will be judged.

Capable of muzzle velocities in excess of 3000FPS with a 113gr bullet out of a 16" barrel, the SIG SAUER MCX-SPEAR rifle is achieving the Army's goal of advanced performance while also exceeding the requirements for durability. Now for the first time, this technology will be available to the U.S. civilian market with the MCX-SPEAR rifle chambered in 6.8x51mm along with a family of Hybrid Ammunition from SIG SAUER. The MCX-SPEAR features a non-reciprocating side charging handle, a rear charging handle, fully ambidextrous controls, a 2-Stage Matchlite Duo Trigger and a free-floating M-LOK handguard.
