Mountain Tactical Tikka T3/T3x Gen 2 Long Action AICS Bottom Metal

Description: Mountain Tactical Tikka T3/T3x Gen 2 Long Action AICS Bottom Metal. Manufactured from 6061 aerospace grade aluminum and finished in a Type III Mil-Spec hard anodized black finish, this Mountain Tactical Gen 2 long action AICS borrom metal is designed for the Tikka T3 and T3x long action rifles chambered in various calibers such as .30-06 Springfield, .300 Win Mag, .300 WSM, .375 H&H Mag, and .338 Lapua. This OEM style replacement piece is perfect for upgrading from the standard plastic bottoms of the T3 models, eliminating flexing and magazine issues.

Mountain Tactical added a full magazine well to improve magazine retention and to speed up magazine changes. The mag catch has been improved to prevent premature mag release under heavy recoil. The Gen2 CTR AICS conversion kit has a new, textured barricade stop that we added to the Gen2 Long Action AICS Bottom Metal as well.

Standard COAL for long action AICS magazines is 3.60". It is important to only use SAAMI length AICS style magazines with an external length of no more than 3.715".

It is important to remember that once a rifle is modified beyond the scope its original design, additional and unforeseen work may be necessary for reliable function.  Thus, installation, final fit and finish is best accomplished by a competent gunsmith.
