Was replacing the barrel on my Ruger Precision and to make a long story short I broke the original trigger, Replaced it with a Timney replacement trigger, But it is a much better trigger then the original, Much smoother and better then the original,

Timney triggers have been the go to for me and my family for as long as I can remember. They always work well and are always appreciated.

Great trigger right out of the box pull was 1.5lbs from the factory which I may try for a lighter pull but I’ll need to put more down range to make my mind up

Our club runs a 100 yard Rifle League, using the SR 1, 100 yard, Qualification Target. It's open to any safe rifle, any sights, any caliber. We get quite an assortment of rifles, and sight combinations. Half the shooters, use .22 Long Rifle caliber rifles, with 3 Ruger Precision Rimfire Rifles, standing tall, within the competition. The unmodified Rugers, are capable of clean numeric scores, with good ammunition. The Timney modified rifles, are capable of perfect scores of 150-15x, using good ammunition. The Timney Trigger is a huge advantage, and far better, than the Ruger supplied trigger. The Ruger Trigger is not bad, but it's not all that good either. I found it annoying, and replaced it, within a few weeks of buying my rifle. Another Ruger PR owner, switched immediately after shooting the best score he ever fired, with my Timney equipped Ruger. My only reason for not "loving" the Timney, is the two stage arrangement. I use very light single stage triggers in my F Class, and PRC Rifles. The two stage rimfire trigger would be perfect, if it were a single stage. It's not hard to master the relatively long, first stage take up, but I find it a distraction. It's still a huge improvement, over the bladed Ruger offering.

On my rifles I don’t like the feel of the blade safety. This trigger fixed that problem and let me dial in the take up and break weight. Nice clean trigger.
