Description: Volquartsen Exact Edge Extractor, Ruger MK II, MK III, MK IV, 22/45, 10/22, 10/22 Magnum. This extractor is constructed of hardened steel and is a durable upgrade component from Volquartsen. This extractor is designed for the complete line of Mark II, III, IV, and 22/45 variant pistols as well as 10/22 & 10/22 magnum rifles from Ruger. The extractor replacement features a precise hook point and a hardness of Rc 58-60 to withstand years of use without losing its dimensions or edge. For over 40 years, Volquartsen Firearms has set the standard for precision firearms and aftermarket accessories. If you are looking for an upgrade from factory components, look no further than Volquartsen.

This extractor is able to hold the tolerances to +/-.0001" by utilizing the EDM manufacturing process. The hook is .005" closer to the rim of the cartridge to allow for the most positive extraction available. Made of A2 tool steel.

This extractor does help with stove pipes and jams, it definitely helped reduce the amount of jams that I get on my Ruger Mark IV. For such a small price and an easy upgrade I think it is worth it.

My old MKII's extractor was getting worn. I started having some failures on occasion and starting to get more frequent. That pistols has had thousands of rounds put thru it and I decided it was time for and overhaul. One if the first things was the extractor. The old one was pretty rounded off after all these years. Now extractions are no problem! Works great, just like everything Volquartsen makes.
