Description: Volquartsen Remington 597 Exact Edge Extractor. This Exact Edge Extractor from Volquartsen is a direct replacement for the extractor that comes in the Remington Model 597 .22 LR rifle. Constructed from A2 tool steel hardened to Rc 58-60, the Exact Edge extractor is manufactured using an EDM process to produce exacting tolerances so that it will not lose its edge like stamped steel or titanium extractors. The extractor features a precise hook point that is 0.005" closer to the rim of the cartridge, allowing for the most positive extraction available.
Volquartsen is able to hold the tolerances to +/-.0001" by utilizing the EDM manufacturing process.
